Melbourne Patterns was inspired by a collection of buildings in the Melbourne CBD, including RMIT. I thought that they presented an interesting juxtaposition of colours and shapes, although I simplified some surfaces in order to make a more cohesive composition. This painting is one of my Melbourne Icons series.
