I visited two world war ll observation posts during a recent trip to Darwin 2026. These installations were built during the height of the war in defense of a potential sea and land invasion. Unfortunately, it was an air invasion.
They now sit idle along a popular coastal reserve trail as a subtle reminder of our historic military past in Darwin.
It allows the viewer to shine a perspective of our past defence strategy and leaves them with a reminder to admire our historical past using my cloisonnistic trait of bold colour and black line that highlights the beauty of our northern frontier.
Boxed framed in one and painted in black to reflect the contemporary colour and line work I create. Thankyou for looking x
