Mt Kooroocheang is a dormant volcano that dominates the surrounding volcanic plain in the Central Highlands of Victoria near the village of Smeaton. It was first painted by the colonial artist, Eugene von Guerard in 1864. My view is also from Mt Franklin capturing the late afternoon light dusting the hilltops.
