During the Covid lockdown I started a series of pool paintings based on a photo shoot conducted with my daughter during that challenging time. I loved the interplay of light and reflection in the sparkling waterm and each painting was characterised by a cheerful pop of colour - a cheerfulness sorely need during those strange times. The series quickly gained momentum and sold out, marking what I believed to be the end of that line of inspiration.
But never say never, I find myself revisiting the series every now and again in an effort to capture the joy of summer.
