This lovely bright abstract landscape was painted in many layers, adding paint, removing paint, adding collage, adding drawing, adding more paint, until the resolved painting emerged. It depicts an outback landscape, abstracted, wiith lots of light in the land as well as bright marks and patterns. I draw upon memories of hiking trips and painting trips to the Australian outback in painting these landscapes, even though they do not represent any one particular location.
