This lovely watercolour has been painted intuitively several layers, letting colours mingle and flow on the page in a controlled way, using a minimal palette and ensuring a unified look. The painting evokes a landscape feel of looking toward distant hills, with fields and valleys in between. It takes me back to north east Tasmania, to drives through farmland.
There is a small border on the top and bottom edges that will need covering behind a mount board. It will need framing behind glass and will look best behind a matt border as shown in the in situ images. This painting will fit many standard off the shelf frames.
