On a trip around Australia we camped for a few days at Trephina Gorge in the Eastern MacDonnell Ranges in Central Australia. One evening the sun was casting a coppery glow over the landscape due to a burn-off in the area. This gave the waters of Trephina Creek the appearance of liquid gold. I felt as though I was in the midst of a giant painting and raced back to the campsite to grab my camera so I didn't miss the chance to capture the scene before the light changed.
