Echoes of Childhood Shores measures 76.5 by 61 cm and is rendered in oil on linen. It depicts a harbour scene where boats rest quietly along the waterfront. Blues, whites, and reds mark the vessels, floating on calm water that reflects subtle greens and blues. To the left, a row of warm-toned buildings stands close to the quay, suggesting a lively coastal town. Beyond, a rocky, tree-covered hill meets a clear blue sky scattered with wispy clouds.

The composition aims to capture the stillness and clarity of a sunny day by the sea. The interplay of light on water and architecture carries a natural rhythm, inviting a quiet reflection without excess.

This painting draws on my memories of Mediterranean fishing boats and the coastal atmosphere that shaped my childhood. Starting from a photograph, I reinterpreted the scene through my own perspective, focusing on colour, light, and mood rather than literal detail.
