Down In The Valley

A stylised landscape inspired by the peaceful village of Hahndorf, nestled in the Adelaide Hills. The scene is a celebration of the Autumn colours the town is famous for. The repetition of the stylised trees, consisting of cone, oval, and disk shapes, leads the eye through the village to the hills beyond. The whole image is more about mood and harmony rather than realism. I want the viewer to feel the quiet calm of rural life and the slight exhilaration of colours changing with the season.
