Dance of Remembrance is a symbolic and emotive work inspired by themes of memory, resilience, and reflection. Emerging from a flowing sea of poppies, the central figure appears suspended between movement and stillness a quiet tribute to those remembered and the enduring strength carried through generations.

The sweeping dress of layered poppies represents both fragility and unity, while the surrounding atmosphere of soft light and shadow evokes a sense of reverence and contemplation. Through contrast, movement, and colour, the painting explores the balance between sorrow and hope, loss and beauty.

Part of Debbie Noonan’s ongoing poppy series, this work draws inspiration from community remembrance traditions and the symbolic significance of the poppy within Australian culture.
