Copper Chorus

This work began with an exploration of industrial textures and earthy copper tones inspired by weathered metal and urban surfaces. As the painting developed, the rigid structure I had planned gave way to something softer and more organic. Layers of colour gradually evolved into a lively field of wildflowers, emerging unexpectedly from the rich, rust-toned background.

For me, the painting reflects the beauty of creative surrender—allowing a work to become what it wants to be rather than forcing it to follow a predetermined path. The contrast between the industrial-inspired foundation and the delicate botanical forms creates a sense of resilience, growth and transformation.
