I love the colours and textures of the many Western Australian species of Banksias. This grows from Sharks Bay on mid west coast to Ravensthorpe on the southern coast, so is quite noticable when in flower.
The cones are showy in various stages and I wanted to show the beauty of their textures. The local Indigenous name for this Banksia is Biara.
