"Black Cockatoos" is a medium sized abstract landscape featuring one of my favourite birds, the black cockatoo. There is little detail in the trees and the landscape, rather I wanted the landscape to almost fade in the background despite being such a large feature of the painting.
To me the black cockatoo represents a part of Australia and so I painted the rest of the landscape in what I consider the colours of Australia, muted olive greens, ochre and umbers.
This painting is approximately 30" x 30" (76cm x 76cm) and looks great on a small or medium sized wall.
