Between Seasons

A nude stands in the hush of the forest, her presence set against a world in transition. The work recalls a time in Celtic mythology when rivers and lakes were imagined as dwelling places of female divinities. The figure appears as a seasonal deity associated with fertility and the recurring cycles of life. At the water’s edge, she enacts a sacred rite to nurture the land and guard it from harm. Executed in acrylic on stretched canvas, the painting is finished with white edges and a gloss varnish, signed and ready to hang.
