Awaken

This original abstracted landscape consists of acrylic paint, gauche and is part of my Dreamscapes series. This is my intuitive response to emotion and place and reflects the quiet joy and connection I find on my bushwalking trails and along the Nepean River, near my home. Through layered textures and soft organic movement, I explore the sensory discoveries that continually inspire me.'Awaken' captures a gentle unfolding of land, light and feeling, where growth emerges in stillness. This colour palette has an earthy and rustic quality with a burst of cobalt blue incorporating some little moments of sweeping gestures and mesmerising patterns creating soft trees, grasses and rolling hills.
