Apollo Bay

We recently stayed at Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road. Walking along the beach in the late afternoon gave me the opportunity to photograph the waves with the low afternoon light shining through the waves and giving that glassy feel. I wanted to capture this effect and also the way the sun lit the ocean on the left hand side of the painting. I also wanted to capture other details like the clouds reflected in the wet sand. My wish was to express the feeling of carefree summer holidays.
