Adrift

A single white rowboat drifting on an endless sheet of blue. The boat is the only bright element, with its warm white and faintly shadowed grey, it becomes a quiet focal point. I kept the palette limited so the eye rests on shape and space rather than colour drama. I kept the contrast low so the mood stays meditative rather than dramatic. The overall intent was to invite pause, no oars, no anchor, no people. I want viewers to bring their own story to it, a moment of waiting, a beginning, an ending, or simply the pleasure of stillness.
The painting is painted on the edges, so a frame is not required.
