A Tiny World Beneath

A Tiny World Beneath explores the quiet beauty hidden beneath the forest floor — the small, often unnoticed places where life quietly thrives. Inspired by a weathered tree hollow discovered during a morning walk, this piece invites the viewer to pause and look closer. Layer by layer, vines weave through textured bark, wildflowers emerge among moss and stone, and a Rufous Fantail stands watch over this tiny hidden world. The painting celebrates the delicate balance between strength and fragility in nature, and the sense of wonder found in the smallest details. Part of my ongoing Tiny World series, this work reflects my fascination with creating intimate natural scenes that encourage curiosity, stillness, and connection to the world around us.
