The Corner Tree by Sue Hill

This is a mixed media on a framed board.   Sue had taken a photographic reference of this beautiful Jacaranda Tree in full bloom for this bright mixed media piece.   She started by gluing on a variety of torn paper of various shapes, paint, tissue paper, words, and acrylic pens onto the canvas.    Once this was dry and sealed, Sue used charcoal to sketch out the street scene adding a girl walking her dog.   She tried to capture the light as she witnessed it.  The Jacaranda trees are so colourful in her area of Brisbane.

Sue has sealed the finished painting with a matt varnish, painted the edges black and the back is wired and ready to hang.  It is framed in white and she has labeled the painting and signed it at the back.
