This painting was painted with a acrylic pallet on a 61 cm x 45 .5 cm and a depth of 1.5 cm on a acrylic canvas and a protective coat of gloss varnish has been applied to seal the acrylic paints and ensure the work stays looking its best for a life time 

Australian native Canopy of Alloxylon Flammeum “Springtime Waratah “or Queensland tree Waratah or Silky Oak tree is so striking with its long elongated leaves and bright orange /red flowers.  I used orange and red combined together on the flowers with some yellow in between and white , the leaves were done with blue , two different greens , yellow and white around the edges to make the leaves look realistic and shiny . It was painted on canvas in acrylics and would look very elegant on any wall or room around the home.  Such a pretty tree to paint and is mostly found in Queensland and I just had to capture its beauty on canvas .  I enjoyed creating it and I hope you will enjoy it too in your home
