Shadows beneath the gums

Shadows beneath the gums – Original Australian Art by Tara Lewis - Shadows Beneath the Gum Leaves is an acrylic abstract painting inspired by the quiet beauty and natural rhythms of the Australian bushland. Botanical impressions of wild foliage emerge through expressive brushwork, capturing the organic forms and peaceful atmosphere found beneath the eucalyptus canopy. A harmonious palette of pinks, blues and greens creates a balance between warmth and coolness, reflecting delicate native growth alongside the deeper tones of leaves and shaded vegetation. Layers of colour build depth across the surface, suggesting dappled sunlight, soft shadows and the gentle movement of foliage in the Australian landscape. Rather than depicting a specific location, this contemporary Australian artwork captures the essence of the bush through abstract botanical forms and expressive colour. Shadows Beneath the Gum Leaves celebrates the quiet beauty found in filtered light, native foliage and the natural spaces beneath the trees, making it ideal for collectors who appreciate contemporary Australian art, abstract botanical paintings, Queensland landscape-inspired artwork and nature-inspired interiors.
