Old Sea Dog

There’s something about an old sea dog that suggests a lifetime of adventures, a few tall tales and perhaps the occasional storm weathered along the way.

In Old Sea Dog, we find our weathered canine companion leaning over the side of an old wooden dinghy, his wide-brimmed straw hat offering little protection from the gunmetal-grey sky gathering above him. Seen from water level, his black-and-white spotted coat and thoughtful blue eyes stand out against the looming storm clouds, while the clear aqua water remains deceptively calm below. A dark reflection of the boat drifts into the foreground, adding depth and a quiet sense of anticipation to the scene.

There’s a pensive quality to this old sailor. His gaze wanders out across the water, as though he’s contemplating the weather, remembering past voyages or simply wondering where the fish have gone. He seems perfectly at home in his little boat, unhurried by the approaching storm and perhaps a little too experienced to be concerned.

The contrast between the threatening sky and the tranquil water creates a moment of stillness before the elements decide what comes next. And with a character like this at the helm, you suspect he’s seen it all before. The sides are painted, it's varnished and ready to hang with wire across the back.
