Miss You Millhouse

"Miss You Millhouse" is an abstract landscape I painted from a photo I took while walking around my local neighbourhood several years ago. Millhouse Road is quite a busy road but when I took my mornings walks it was quite peaceful and is road full of large sized blocks and homes with plenty of trees and some wildlife. I used to love these morning walks and in particular, this stretch of road.

When we moved away from the area I found myself missing these walks, missing this road and wondering if we'd made a mistake by leaving. Hindsight is a wonderful mystery!

I have included the reference photo in this description so the viewer can see the fairly non-descript road I would walk down. Whilst the road itself wasn't much to look at, it was more the calm feeling I'd get just by being there. It's the mystery of what's around the corner and feeling blissfully alone amongst the trees. I hope the viewer feels the same with my painting.

This piece is 36" x 24"or 92cm x 61cm so is a medium sized painting, painted with abstract style trees and several markings and detail with paint pens.
