One year on from the 2025 algae bloom, Kangaroo Island beaches are starting to recover. Some are doing better than others. Min Oil is a shallow beach which extends out to the Nepean basin. Once filled with birds, shellfish and rays. Redbanks is on the left, which has beautiful coloured orange to red rocks in the cliff. Most of the natural filter all feeders, Pinna (rasorfish) are gone now. It will be a long journey to recovery.
