Continuing my Beauy series, It's A Riot was so much fun to paint. The relative composure of the figure - adorned with her own interpretation of beauty - is contrasted by the overwhelmingly chaotic storm of flowers pressing around her. The painting is loud and alive and turns beauty into something that cannot be contained and nor would I want it to be.
