Original acrylic Artwork “Eucalyptus macrocarpa gum tree “by Moira Briel
This artwork was painted on an acrylic pallet on a stretched canvas of 61cm x 46cm with a depth of 1.5cm on a acrylic canvas and a protective coat of (gloss) varnish has been applied to seal the acrylic paints and ensure the work stays looking its best for a lifetime
Eucalyptus macrocarpa, commonly known as mottlecah, is a species of mallee that is endemic to the southwest of Western Australia. It has smooth bark, usually sessile, heart-shaped adult leaves arranged in opposite pairs, large red flowers and broad conical fruit. It blooms in spring to summer, mostly red or pink-red. The gum-nuts are large and silvery. Very stunning tree and flowers ,a pleasure to paint and capture its beauty. I gave it a black background so that the red flowers pop
