Butcher Bird in my Garden

I have a huge variety of our native birds visit our garden and this butcher bird is one of them. Their song is so beautiful and to have them so near is a delight. Especially when they take advantage of the bird bath. I drew this on my favourite surface which is Grafix drafting film using professional artist’s coloured pencils. Pan pastels were used for the background which gives it that soft muted finish.

All materials are lightfast which will ensure the vibrancy of the colours will last a lifetime if framed behind uv glass.
