Big beach day

This exciting coastal painting  has you looking out over the ocean, the water pounding the sand, the sky dramatic over the headland.  There is seaweed decorating the shoreline and pebbles are scattered around.  This painting follows from the series of smaller seaside paintings all coming from a number of sketches made along the coast around Skenes Creek, on Victoria's Great Ocean Road. 

Oil paint and oil sticks over an acrylic underpainting on stretched canvas. Varnished for protection.

The painting is ready to hang, with sides painted white, or it came be framed as in the example in the in situ photos.
