This painting is the Duaringa Uniting church. The painting is in acrylic and has been coated with protective varnish. The sides of this artwork match the painting. I use quality paint and canvases with all my artwork. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The church was built in 1907 and after being damaged in a storm was purchased privately and moved to the owners property and renovated. My painting is the renovated church and my interpretation of what church day May have looked like in the 1960,s.  I used my memories of going to church as a child and teenager. Duaringa is in Queensland.
The boy in the green shirt is going fishing after church. The twins in the foreground are up to no good. The old couple , red dress and walking stick we're married in the church. The woman in the green dress is a single mother and comes to church to find a husband. The cockies all stand around talking about the weather. The minister is very young, this is his first church appointment.

You can make up your own minds on the rest of the congregation.
