Following up from my last painting Interwoven play, Le Papillon is as much an interwoven play between us humans and our environment as a still life! Le papillon, the butterfly just appeared while this painting was developing besides the usual human like figures and vessels which are significant in my works. Le papillon, the butterfly, is a true little master of metamorphosis, a symbol of transformation, freedom and rebirth and in the state the world is at the moment we need all of that which can give us hope and positivity. As well as that I felt this work and art in general can give us a little escape from the world as is and an immersion in something else besides ourselves. It will be great on any wall and add to meaningful discussions amongst the viewers
