From Little Things, Big Things Grow

This painting is unusual for me because it not only involved a preliminary drawing sketch, but also a small painting sketch. Normally I get an idea and jump straight in, but in this case we can see the progress and development of the idea. The title of the painting is very appropriate being both a growing abstract garden scene, and a growing idea.
