I like spotty dogs. This is a red one reading the breeze as he trots across the rocks. The sky is dramatic and hypnotic. The waves are building. There is a sense of space and freedom in the air. The dog is surreal and symbolic. In my world, dogs represent unconditional love, awe, wonder and joy. They embody the present moment, and it's good to be reminded to come back to the here and now, often! The oil paint is thickish, and gives texture. The edges are painted white gesso. It is ready to hang, with d rings and wire. It doesn't require a frame but a simple float frame would set it off beautifully.
