This painting depicts a Highlands tribesman from Papua New Guinea, which, for the uninitiated, is the land of the unexpected. Similar tribesmen can be seen showing off their colourful traditional attire at the spectacular Mount Hagen Cultural Festival. At same you can witness what this ancient nation has to offer in terms of a wide diversity of song, dance, and traditional dress of stunning colours as showcased by several local PNG tribes. Prior to relocating to Perth, I spent 10 fantastic years living in Papua New Guinea………. they were the best years of my life. Our three sons were all born in PNG.
