Its organic forms appear to lean into one another, creating a visual rhythm that feels both intimate and celebratory.

Artist Statement

This work explores the beauty of connection through colour, gesture, and form. Clusters of rounded shapes gather across the canvas like figures in conversation, each distinct yet intrinsically linked to the whole. Rich hues of crimson, magenta, coral, and peach are balanced by passages of cool blue and soft green, creating a dialogue between energy and calm, individuality and belonging.

Painted intuitively, the work evolved through layers of expressive mark-making, allowing relationships between shapes and colours to emerge organically. The drips and gestural strokes reveal a process of movement and discovery, preserving moments of spontaneity and emotion within the surface of the painting. These traces of the artist's hand speak to the imperfect and evolving nature of human relationships.

While abstract in form, the painting reflects the ways people gather, support, and shape one another through shared experiences. The overlapping forms suggest community, family, friendship, and the countless interactions that weave together the fabric of our lives. Moments of light and openness within the composition offer space for reflection, reminding us that connection is both dynamic and deeply sustaining.

Ultimately, this painting is a celebration of togetherness: a visual expression of the joy, warmth, and complexity found in belonging to something larger than ourselves. It invites viewers to find their own stories within the forms and to reflect on the relationships that colour and enrich their lives.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0679/2078/9615/files/69164a62e1b8ea140711df10_rheda-copy_1792734896280.jpg?v=1792734967
