{"product_id":"life-on-the-reef-with-sea-turtle","title":"Life on the Reef with Sea Turtle","description":"\u003cp\u003eI love snorkelling and you will often find me at the nearest beach or on a snorkeling cruise through the straits of New Guinea.  Turtles and reefs are becoming endangered, particularly with the rising water temperatures causing bleaching of the coral and the random abandonment of plastics in the ocean. Turtles see plastic bags as resembling jelly fish, one of their favourite foods, and when they swallow one it usually leads to the turtle's demise. I have painted many turtles and coral reefs and, through my art, I am able to express my love of nature and the use of colour, shape and texture.  This allows my imagination to run in overdrive as I envisage the bright colours and textures of the coral reef and the fish that inhabit it. I have painted this painting from memory rather than an actual photograph, and I use my creative side to determine the design and colours of the coral.
